Bappa Rawal, also known as Mihir Bhoj or Kalbhoj, was a legendary figure in Indian history and is said to have been the founder and first ruler of the Mewar kingdom in present-day Rajasthan, India.
Bappa Rawal was a warrior and a valiant king who played a significant role in shaping the history of the region.
He is best known for his bravery and leadership during the Battle of Rajasthan (738-739 AD) against the Arab invaders led by the Umayyad Caliphate.
The most famous episode in Bappa Rawal’s life is the Siege of Chittorgarh in 738 AD. Despite facing a siege by the Arab forces, he led a successful defense of Chittorgarh and managed to repel the invaders. His courageous efforts earned him great respect and admiration among his people.
